2.40.0: broken links and images, direct connector updates

Broken links and images. Every night, Verploy checks up to 15 pages per site, starting from the homepage and the links on it, and up to 300 of the site’s own addresses and 100 external ones. The site page lists what no longer loads, on which page and since when, with the site’s own links and images first. The monthly client report includes the list (up to 15 lines). Anything that works again disappears by itself.

Verploy Connector updates go live directly. An update of only the Verploy Connector does not change what visitors see, so it skips the test copy and goes live directly, with a backup beforehand, a check after going live and an automatic rollback if anything is off. If it fails, Verploy tries again after 24 hours, up to three times per version. Connector 2.13.0 can also keep itself up to date through WordPress’s own automatic updates; its signature is still checked.

Fixes. Error messages in the update timeline now show the real text instead of “[object Object]”. The page of a held-back update could show an error since 2.39.0; it opens normally again. The app’s framework was updated for known security issues.
