When an update only changes how a page looks: approve it with one click
2 min readBy the Verploy team
Some updates are meant to change how a site looks. A new version of a theme or page builder can move a button, change a font or tidy up spacing, and that is not a broken site. Holding those updates back forever does not help anyone, so Verploy lets you decide.
Looks good, go live
Since version 2.31, when a theme or page-builder update changes only how pages look and every other check passes, Verploy shows the before and after screenshots side by side with one button: “Looks good, go live”. That puts the update live through the normal safe route: a backup first, and a check after going live.

Test only, for the big ones
Since version 2.44, a risky update such as a major version jump also has “Test only”. Verploy runs it on a test copy, with screenshots before and after, and puts nothing live. If it looks right, one click puts it live through the same safe route. A link shows what changes in the new version, so you know what you are looking at.
Fewer differences to begin with
Some themes and page builders only rebuild their styles after their settings are saved again. Verploy does that step itself, on the test copy and on the live site, before it compares the pages, so a common cause of harmless differences is gone before you ever see it.
