The road so far: from first release to 2.41 in three weeks
2 min readBy the Verploy team
Our new website went live on 24 September. Since then we have shipped more than thirty versions of Verploy. Here is the short version of what changed, so you can see where the product comes from and where it is going.
Late September: backups and safety
- 2.9: nightly backups through the connector, encrypted and stored in the EU, and restoring a site with an automatic check.
- 2.11: the reason a premium update is missing, one-click login to WP Admin, and ZIP upload.
- 2.15: risk per update, rolling out to all sites in waves, rollback only counts after a check.
- 2.16: test copy isolation, data guard, and exactly the tested version goes live.
Early October: proof and polish
- 2.19: the restore test, proof that a backup comes back without touching the live site.
- 2.21: a connection check with one fix per problem.
- 2.23: an overview of what happened since your last visit.
This week
- 2.26 and 2.29: speed scores, findability in Google, alerts in Slack and webhooks.
- 2.30 to 2.38: more updates go live by themselves, one-click approval, a free plan.
- 2.39 to 2.41: visitor routes and combination warnings, broken links and images, a client portal.
On 8 October we opened Verploy to every agency. Every version, with what changed, is on the changelog.
