MainWP alternative
A MainWP alternative that tests updates before they reach the live site.
MainWP runs bulk updates on the live site, with HTML regression testing and staging as Pro add-ons. Verploy tests risky updates on a private copy first, hosted for you, with backups, rollback and reports on every plan.
No credit card. Every update is checked, and the risky ones are tested on a copy first.
Why agencies switch
Self-hosted control, but you still do the checking
MainWP is open source and self-hosted: a Dashboard plugin on your own WordPress site and a Child plugin on every client site. Updates run in bulk on the live site. The Pro Regression Testing add-on compares the rendered HTML after updating, and the Pro Staging add-on (using WP Staging) lets you test on a staging copy by hand before you update the live site. When an update fails, WordPress core restores the previous version.
That gives you a lot of control, and a lot to maintain yourself: the dashboard site, its add-ons and its hosting. Verploy is hosted for you and does the testing on a copy itself, before the live site is touched.
The difference
What changes when you switch
Tested before live, automatically
Themes, page builders, shops and major versions run on a temporary copy on your own server first: every page on desktop and mobile, forms and checkout included.
Nothing to host yourself
No dashboard site to keep updated and backed up. Verploy runs in the cloud; your client sites only need the small Verploy Connector.
Rollback from a snapshot
If something breaks after going live, Verploy restores files and database from a snapshot taken just before, not only when the update itself fails.
Fair about strengths
MainWP is open source, self-hosted and has a lifetime licence option. If you want full control over your own dashboard, it is a strong choice. Verploy is for agencies that want proof before go-live, without the upkeep.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Is Verploy self-hosted like MainWP?
No. Verploy is hosted for you. Your client sites only need the Verploy Connector plugin; there is no dashboard site to install or maintain.
Can I run Verploy and MainWP side by side?
Yes. The Verploy Connector is a separate plugin. We recommend letting only one tool update a site automatically, so updates do not overlap.
