WooCommerce
Update WooCommerce shops without breaking checkout.
Shop updates are risky by default, so Verploy tests them on a private copy of the shop first: pages on desktop and mobile, the cart and the checkout page. Only when that passes does the live shop get the update.
No credit card. Every update is checked, and the risky ones are tested on a copy first.

The problem
A broken checkout costs money every minute
WooCommerce, payment gateways and shop themes update often. Most updates are fine, but when one breaks the cart or checkout, the shop loses orders until someone notices. And rolling back a shop is tricky: orders placed after the backup must not disappear.
Verploy treats shops as high risk: shop updates always run on a test copy first, and the live shop is only updated when the checks pass.
How Verploy protects shops
Built for the shops you maintain
Checkout tested on a copy
On the test copy, Verploy adds a product to the cart and checks that the checkout page opens, before and after the update. It never pays or places an order.
Forms tested too
Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms and WPForms are filled in and sent on the test copy. The copy sends no email and blocks outgoing requests, so no real messages or payments go out.
Orders kept on a rollback
On sites with the data guard, orders, form entries, comments and accounts created after the backup stay on the site if Verploy has to roll back.
Short maintenance
On sites with the data guard, visitors see the maintenance notice only during the switch itself. Payment webhooks get a “try again later” instead of a half-updated shop.
In practice
What happens when an update fails the test
- The update is held back: the live shop is not touched
- You see what failed, in plain language, with screenshots before and after
- Other updates for the shop can still go ahead
- For big updates you can choose “Test only”, review the result and go live with one click
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Does Verploy place test orders?
No. On the test copy it adds a product to the cart and checks that the checkout page opens. It never pays or places an order, and the copy blocks outgoing requests to payment providers.
What happens to orders if an update is rolled back?
On sites with the data guard, orders and form entries created after the backup stay on the site; everything else goes back to the version from before the update.
Does it work with any payment gateway?
The checkout check looks at whether the checkout page opens and works on the test copy. It does not connect to the payment provider.
