About Verploy
I built Verploy for my own client sites first.
I’m Martijn van den Berg, founder of EM Hosting & Design, a web agency. Verploy is the tool I needed and could not find.
Our story
At EM Hosting & Design we look after dozens of WordPress sites for clients: shops, booking sites and company sites. Every week there were updates. Some broke a page, a form or a checkout, and too often I heard it from the client first. I was always behind.
I tried several existing tools, but I still ended up checking sites by hand after every round of updates. So I started building Verploy: check every update, test the risky ones on a copy first, and roll back automatically when something goes wrong after go-live.
Verploy runs on my own client sites every day. Every release is listed on the public changelog, and you can follow uptime on the status page.
A European company, backups in the EU
Verploy is a European company, run by EM Hosting & Design (KvK 56914792). Backups are encrypted and stored in the EU. Verploy works with the hosting your clients already use and needs no hosting logins. More on trust and data.
Why not just use the big tools?
I think the big tools get a few things wrong for agencies. Here is what Verploy does differently:
- Every update is checked, and the risky ones are tested on a private copy first. The live site only changes after those checks pass.
- If something misbehaves after go-live, Verploy rolls back files and database automatically, and checks that the rollback worked.
- Ctrl+Z for WordPress, to undo just the damage and keep the rest of the site, is launching in December 2026. It is not in the app yet.
- A European company, with backups stored in the EU.
